Role and Responsibility

I am confident of this very thing, Lord, that You have begun a good work in _____, and You will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

Father, I pray that _____ will continue to work out his own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is YOU who works in him, giving him both the desire and the power to do Your good pleasure. (Philippians 2: 12-13)

Father, I see that You work in different ways in different people, but You are the same God Who does the work in all of us. You are the one God and Father of us all, Who is above all, and through all, and in all believers. Your grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Help me to trust that Your grace is sufficient for _____, even though I do not always see what you are doing in her life. 1 Corinthians 12:6, Ephesians 4:6-7 ESV, 2 Corinthians 12:9

Father, You are the God of peace. You brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead. You are our great Shepherd and we are Your sheep. Through the blood of the everlasting covenant, please make _____ complete in every good work to do Your will. Work in him what is pleasing in YOUR sight (not in mine) through Christ Jesus. He is, after all, Yours. Hebrews 13:21

Lord, help me learn from the example of Paul, who entrusted both his work and his loved ones to You. He saw himself as a servant with a task. He planted Your Word, and another person might water it, but Paul knew that You were the One Who made that Word grow. Even in the lives of those I love best, I am a worker in Your service, and so I will work with care, but those people I love belong to You. See 1 Corinthians 3:5-10 NIV

Father, help me to remember that it is by Your grace that _____ has been saved though faith. It is Your good gift; her salvation is not because of her good works or mine, so neither of us can boast. For _____ is Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which You prepared before _____ was even born, that she should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10

Father I pray that _____ and I both will be able to accept all the hardships that faithfulness to the Gospel entails through the strength that You give us. For you have rescued _____ from all that is really evil and called him to a life of holiness- not because of anything he has accomplished, but for Your own purposes. Before time began You planned to give _____ in Christ the grace to achieve this purpose. Thank You, Father. 2 Timothy 1:9-10

Father, help me not to be anxious about _____, but in everything that concerns her, I will pray, give You thanks for her, and make my requests about her known to You. Philippians 4:6

A blessing to pray over those you love:

May the Lord our God be with you as He has always been with His people.

May He never leave us or abandon us.

May He give us the desire to do His will in everything and to obey all the commands He has given us.

And may the words that we pray in the presence of the Lord be before Him constantly, day and night, so that He may give us justice according to each day’s needs.

Then people all over the earth will know that the Lord is God and there is no other.

May you be completely faithful to the Lord our God.

May You always obey His commands. 1 Kings 8: 57-61 (Solomon, as he dedicates the temple)
